How Can You Validate Data In Excel?

When you create a spreadsheet or workbook for users in Excel, you may wish to regulate the information entered into certain cells. Doing so ensures that all data entries are valid and consistent.

Moreover, you may also want to allow the entry of specific data types, such as figures or dates, and restrict numerals to a specific range and the length of text. You may also want to provide a preset list of suitable entries to avoid errors. All these things are possible with Excel Data Validation in all Microsoft Excel versions.

In Excel, data validation is a mechanism that limits user input in a spreadsheet. It is frequently used to restrict user admission. It also allows the user to generate a personalized message if incorrect data is entered.
